   I downloaded quickpwn now it wont let me open it. it tells me i need to install one of the following versions of the .NET framework: v2.0.50727 it also says to contact my application publisher for instructions about obtaining the appropriate version of th .NET framework. any way can i get some help in laymans terms. I’m really lost.

   jack you can download the latest ver of .NET framework from the link below.

   after installation reboot your windows and when you run quick pwn right click it and click on “Run as Admin”
   everything will go fine.

   The problem i have is that I can open the BL-39 .bin file.. When I download it, there isnot a program to read it. Would you please tell me how can open the BL-39 bin file and the second one????

   I searched alot and i still dont know

   you don’t need to open the “BL-39” & “BL-46” files.
   its used in Quick PWN 2.2 when you tick on unlock iphone, it will ask you for BIN files just locate Quick PWN to the “BL-39” & “BL-46” files.
   These files are a sort of add-on for quick pwn tool to unlock your iphone 2G to be able to run any network sim.

   you tried using Quick PWN tool ? if not try it you are going in wrong direction, 2nd thing this thing only works for iphone 2g, 3rd thing try this whole procedure once again may b you are missing some thing. tick the unlock option when you are using quick pwn tool. still stuck let me know.

   Hi…everything seemed to install properly…but when I swappe out the SIM card for the one I want to use…it won’t recognize it. Says I have to log onto itunes. When I did…itunes says that the SIM card is not authorized.

   I know the SIM card works because I was using it when my iphone (2g) was running 1.1.4 - which was about 10 minutes ago - before I started the update. I swapped out the SIM card and put the original back in so that I can restore and update on itunes. But once the install was completed…I thought I could just swap out the SIM cards again. But the issue I described above happened.

   Any thoughts? Thanks.

    i have a question. so i have updated my iphone to 2.2 and download all the stuff that is needed. so i open quickpwn and all goes good untill i get to the steps where it says preparing iphone to restore. it just keeps doing that and nothing happens. any answers or suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

    I tried to open first the QuickPwn22-1, and after i open, windows give me a msg of Error. It says that he “found an error and the application must be shutout down”. what’s wrong?

    hello….my problem is that i followed all the steps like i should.quickpwn tell me that everything was succesfull.then the bootnueter says the same thing and tell me to wait untill it reboot in its newly state.so it reboot and when it appears,i see the t-mobile sign but i’m locked out of my iphone.i can make and receive call but it stays at the emergency dailing pad and tell me that it doesn’t reconize the sim…what am i doing wrong please help me out….[iphone first gen].clearly i’m doing somting wrong but i dont know what and believe me i followed the steps like it says.please help.thank you in advance.

    I have download Quick Pwn 2.2, I had downloaded the latest IPSW file as well, I also had downloaded BL-39 & BL-46 as well, I have an iPhone 2G running 1.1.4, I’m in UAE. I’m ready with everything but scared of 2things.

    1. Do I have to update my firmware to 2.2 from iTunes and then Run Quick pwn 2.2 tool? OR Run Quick pwn directly without any iTunes ??

    Answer: no matter wat ver you have on iphone 2G , cracked or not cracked you can still use my step by step how to unlock iphone 2g.

    watch the video carefully and update and unlock you iphone.
    face any problem let me know.
    my method is actually the easiest one you dont need to do any thing extra just few simple steps.

    Answer:
    1st of all marcus there is nothing to panic in case of iphone 2G, it can be easily updated , unlocked and jailbroken on firmware 2.2
    you simply need to follow my video and do as directed.

    1st backup ur iphone so u dont loose your contacts and sms etc
    then download firmware 2.2 from the link i have given then use that firmware file to update you iphone via itunes

    now download and install quick pwn 2.2 keep your iphone connected all the time and powerd on. now give quick pwn the same firmware file that you used in itunes to update you iphone.

    next it will ask you to tick on unlock , cebia and install tick on them, if u will not tick on unlock ur phone will not run any other sim except your contact sim,

    next give quick pwn the bin file (download them from link above BL39 and BL46)

    after this last step you need to do is quick pwn will ask you to press power btn and hold home btn for few sec to make you iphone go in recovery mode follow those instruction as directed by quik pwn and thats all if you make you iphone go in recovery mode by following quick pwn instruction u are done… simply sit and w8 till you iphone is unlocked and jailbroken… its that easy….
    i can unlock m ipohne by keep my eyes closed …lol

    hi Ahmed good day UAE is nice place.

    which iphone you have ?? if u have iphone 3g then u can jailbreak you iphone on firmware 2.2, but keep in mind you can;t unlock your iphone 3g on firmeware 2.2 to use any other sim except your iphone contract sim.
    if you only looking for jailbreak then its easy just follow my video and you are done easily.

    and about the MMS thing am working on it now days in few days i am going to post complete detail on how to setup MMS on your iphone. just keep checking.
    one thing is for sure you need to jailbreak you iphone in order to get mms option on your iphone

Thanks a lots bro, i’ll update u if i did everything peacefully. by the way, how to show my iTunes software that i’ve downloaded “iPhone1,1_2.2_5G77_Restore.ipsw” file and saved somewhere in my documents? im sorry for shooting silly questions, but i really dont know it.

    i my video i am also using win vista with latest itunes, the only problem i see in your case is you need to uninstall quick pwn properly then restart your pc and download .NET Framework Version 3.5 SP1 install it and restart your pc once more, now fresh install quick pwn 2.2
    i hope this will solve your problem.

    Answer: please watch my video carefully.

    in itunes when you connect your iphone , u see an update button in itunes near your iphone status. Press SHIFT key and click on update button and itunes will pop up with a lil window which will ask you to locate iphone firmware file from your computer.

    after trying 1001 time you still cant do it yourself let me know.
    i will unlock you iphone in live.

    Dear Usman i have a problem, i had updated my firmware through iTunes, my iPhone is locked, but when i tried to run QuickPwn.exe its not running at all bro, it gives me some error, i downloaded the file from ur link given,then i tried downloading from different sites but nothing happening. please help me bro, my phone is locked. if the quickpwn runs successfully i can unlock it, its not running at all

    The only problem i see in your case is you need to uninstall quick pwn properly then restart your pc and download .NET Framework Version 3.5 SP1 install it and restart your pc once more, now fresh install quick pwn 2.2
    i hope this will solve your problem.

    Well Khalid you are not doing it properly.
    1st update your iphone using 2.2 firmware file given in my post. Then go to quick pwn and give em the same firmware file you just used in itunes to update your iphone. then only quick pwn will recognize your iphone firmware!!!

    LONG LIVE USMAN, I really Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I donno where u live but you are a real techy, people i have seen who dont understand a problem unless they sit on the computer physically. but u understood and helped me solve my problem like a piece of cake… You are really a helping and a great guy. I downloaded .NET 3.5 installed and quick pwn started running, and then i successfully jailbroke my iPhone. Thanks to u again, its working fine as fiddle

    Answer:
    If you have iphone 2G there is nothing on earth to worry about.
    simply run itunes and connect your iphone 2g, Now download firmware file that i have mentioned above , save it on desktop,
    next in itunes clikc on update btn while holding SHIFT key, itune will ask you to locate the firware file you downloaded from techbot.
    after updating is complete close itune for ever.
    now more to quick pwn 2.2 make sure you unisntall ur pervious quick pwn b4 installing techbot quick pwn 2.2,
    in quick pwn 2.2 it will ask you to locate tha same firmware file you just used in itunes to update your iphone. locate em
    next it will ask you to tick mark cydia , installer and unlock. tick mark them all.
    now qucik pwn will ask for BL39, and BL46 file locate them after you download them from techbot.
    next step quick pwn will ask you to press home btn and power btn for few sec and release the power btn while holding home btn. follow these instructions carefully and your iphone will go in recovery mode which will let qucik pwn do his job on you iphone, jailbreaking and unlocking…that all sit back and relax ,
    in this whole process u can put any sim in iphone but there must be sim in iphone.

    Please help me out Usman! I’m using Windows XP and I’ve updated my Iphone 3G to 2.2 and I updated my Itunes as well. I’m running Windows XP with the most up to date .NET, and I’m still getting and error when I try and open Quickpwn 2.2.

    Brother Usman, as u r a gr8 techy, i need to ask u a question, after jailbreaking my fone, i lost almost every software, but one software which is important for me was iQuran Software from Guidedways. I couldn’t install this software through Cydia, they say i have to install it through Installer, i’ve added their link to my installer and it added to my repository list but still there is not software showing under this repository.
    Please do not get irritated, if u cannot help, i dont mind at all. i’m happy that atleast my fone is not locked, u helped me to unlock it successfully

    i dont mind sharing knowledge. IQuran is also one of my favourite softwares. Well after jumping to iphone new firmware i am not using installer and cydia any more, coz Iphone App Store is one big amazing thing itslef, go in app store make your account and start using app store. Just seach Quran in app store you will find free copy of iQuran , App store works a lot smoother and faster then installer and cydia. I check app store almost every night.     Hi my prob is I ended up restoring iphone 2g in itunes and itunes restored and updated! Now there is no option to update it just says put in correct sim card. Also I am using a mac. Help?

    Answer:
    No problem , Dear you are not doing it right, simply connect iphone 2g with itunes, Now download firmware file that i have mentioned above , save it on desktop,
    next in itunes clikc on update/restore any one which you see in you itunes btn while holding SHIFT key, itune will ask you to locate the firware file you downloaded from techbot.
    after updating is complete close itune for ever.
    now more to quick pwn 2.2 make sure you unisntall ur pervious quick pwn b4 installing techbot quick pwn 2.2,
    in quick pwn 2.2 it will ask you to locate tha same firmware file you just used in itunes to update your iphone. locate em
    next it will ask you to tick mark cydia , installer and unlock. tick mark them all.
    now qucik pwn will ask for BL39, and BL46 file locate them after you download them from techbot.
    next step quick pwn will ask you to press home btn and power btn for few sec and release the power btn while holding home btn. follow these instructions carefully and your iphone will go in recovery mode which will let qucik pwn do his job on you iphone, jailbreaking and unlocking…that all sit back and relax ,
    in this whole process u can put any sim in iphone but there must be sim in iphone.

    hey i tried again and still after all the update i do sucessfully and everything goes thru fine …but when i install a different sim card it stays at the emergency dailing pad and tell me that it doesn’t reconize my sim. i have followed evrything good the only step i was missing that u say above was…..after the firmware is complete to close itune for ever………….

    I have a problem I have an iphone 2g I updated to ver 2.2 I did all the step U show in the video, everything was successfully done but when I change the simcard from other carrier doesn’t work, it says (DIFFERENT SIM DETECTED PLEASE CONNECT TO ITUNES) even when I put an other AT&T sim says the same message, but it shows the new carrier in the main screen. What should I do?.

    Hey Usman, I hate to keep asking the same question everyone else is, but I have almost the same problem, while doing the 1st step in itunes, I don’t believe it finished the update, it said there was an error, and it could not connect the iphone, and it was locked, ( I can still get calls but that’s it) Now when I go back to itune to try and re-do the update, it now says the SIM Card is not supported, and that’s it, I can hit Shift-restore cause it does not show one, and then I go to quickpwn22, and it say the firmware I’m trying to update to does not match what I have on my iphone. Please advise, I would start over, but I’m stuck!

    Usman, thanks for this great iPhone2G v.2.2 upgrade tech help. I’m in the same boat like the other unfortunate 7, i.e., Jake (6), Joe (8), Dwayne (9), Marcus (15), Ahmed Khan (28), Wilme (32, 33,34), and Antonio (43). I upgraded my iPhone 2G from 1.14 to 2.0.2 with WinPawn without any problem. But I’m stuck with the lock phone when I try to upgrade it to 2.2 with QuickPwn 2.2.

    I follow your procedure carefully (in several times) and successfully, saw the running pineapple Flashing NOR, get the home screen back, etc. The problem is when I switch the att simcard with the foreign simcard, I get the “DIFFERENT SIM DITECTED, PLEASE CONNECT TO iTUNES” message and my iPhone is locked to att, but jailbroken to Cydia.

    I tried to rerun the QuickPwn 2.2 with the foreign simcard and with no simcard at all, both results are the same as with att simcard in it. I use the right firmware (iPhone1,1_2.2_5G77_Restore.ipsw) and bootloaders (BL39.BIN and BL46.BIN). So now I’m stuck with att. Help!

    Brother I think it is SHIFT+RESTORE and NOT SHIFT+UPDATE as seen in your video? Am I correct?
    I think SHIFT+UPDATE is for Version above 2.0 and SHIFT_RESTORE for 1.1.3 and above?
    I am trying SHIFT+RESTORE at the moment and seems it is working.
    SHIFT+UPGRADE said “error upgrading your iPhone” or something like that.

    Few, I fix it. The key is I had to revirginize (restore or revert it back to factory settings) the iPhone with iTunes and the non ATT simcard in the iPhone first, before doing the unlocking and jailbreaking with QuickPwn 2.2. To let iTunes recognize the iPhone with the non ATT simcard, you need to put the iPhone in DFU mode. Allow the iTunes to make a backup first before doing the clean restore. After unlocking, then you restore your backup data.

    Hello everyone!!!! I’m still having the same problem I did everything and nothing works, I did with sim and without sim and nothing, I restore it from the iphone itself, I waited one hour and i did the whole proses and nothing good.
    DANT: how can i revirginize as factory settings? Where can I get an old version?
    When I did the restore by itself I thought it’ll be as a new iphone settings with old version, the result was the same version 2.2.
    Today I tryed twice and nothing worked.

    So i just installed the firmware provided here to my phone and realized it was not locked….my phone was already unlocked before and i was under the impression this would lock my phone and i would have to unlock it with winpwn to get it to work again. i honestly didnt do a single step past restoring firmware. is this normal or did i just get lucky?

    I followed all your instructions successfully - the finally screen told me I have successfully jailbroken the phone as well - BUT

    when you entered “2580″ as the passworde - i tried 2580 as well as other possible combinations - it just keeps telling me it’s incorrect! I have never set a password myself so I don’t know what it could be!

    Its a knowledge sharing mail !!!!

    I had a 2G 1.1.4 jailbroken iPhone which eventually crashed while loading some program thrw installer. Later on I tried to restore iPhone by iTune to firmware 2.2. But every time I tried it was showing Error 1604 which many of you are facing I guess. I searched all possible forums and tried all their given ways. But all failed. Then I formatted my C drive and reinstalled windows ( I was gonna do dat nyway as my system was crashing every now and then ). After reinstalling windows I tried to restore my iPhone with iTune and BINGO….. it worked. But too bad I got a locked 2.2 firmware iPhone.
    I tried to jailbreak and unlock that with QuickPwn 2.2 but was getting some error as some of you guys are mentioning. Then I installed Microsoft .NET Firmware 2 ( For XP ). Tried to pwn iPhone again and every thing went smooth.
    I wanna thank all for the helps and I feel obliged to let you guys know my way of solving…..

    If things go really bad…. get rid of the old Windows

    NOTE: U will loose all back up too. So be careful about that…

    I have been trying all day to get my 2g iphone ver2.2 jailbroken. I got it backed up in itunes. I launched quickpwn2.2. I followed all the steps in the video including the bootloaders and the home/power button sequences to no avail. I got through the entire process and ended with the success screen. I then removed the att sim and installed the tmobile sim. It immediately came up with the emergency call screen and says to connect to itunes. I am not sure what else I can do. I have done this five times today and still no success. I am using Win XP and quickpwn 2.2 with up to date itunes, version, and software. Any ideas? I have seen all the blogs of reinstall and restore, but I seem to be beyond this. Thanks in advance. Kemkid

    My problem is first of all i have updated my firmware to 2.2 through itunes. When the firmware was updated the phone returns back to itunes and my iphone in Itunes display this msg –> SIM card inserted in this Iphone does not appear to be supported.

    it worked… I have an iPhone first Gen.. It was with software version 1.1.4 and now with 2.2

    I did it with iTunes 8 something (not the latest)

    I had one problem. After locating the new firmware (shift + update in iTunes) it started to extract it. However, i got an error message in a few seconds. (Something like: Unexpected error occurred (6)). I think it was an I/O error but i am not sure.

    If this happens to you DON’T PANIC!
    just click shift + restore button in iTunes. (the update button is now disabled) Than locate the new firmware, that you downloaded and proceed as in the video above. Everything works fine… I have now 2.2 and app store. Yuhuu..!

    It worked… although exactly like how Soubhik said it… my iphone had a 1.1.3 thingy and wen i pressed on update, it gave me the ‘ur iphones gone, dude…’ msg… all n/a n/a n/a… my phone was stuck on connect to itunes… but then i tried the shift-restore with the new firmware file and everything went smoothly. although, u did not mention anything bout the bootneuter or showed it in ur video… scared me a bit…. but i should say, it worked the first time round….. yeee haaaa!!!!!

     Is there a way to downgrade the iPhone firmware from 3.0 to back to 2.2 for this unlock to work?

     When I try to do SHIFT+RESTORE, and use the 2.2 ipsw file it tells me is not compatible with 3.0.

     I guess my question is, if I had my phone previously updated to 2.2 by the phones previous owner and I didn’t have the option to update it via “shift+click on update in iTunes” to save the firmware bundle to a known location, how can I select the proper IPSW after I start QuickPWN. I assumed that the download on this page would work in this instance but I can’t get it to recognize it as a firmware bundle. HELP!

     hey i did download quickpwn and the BL.39 and BL.46 there work fine. but the only im tryin to get done is the 2.2.1 file.. i have it but it will not let me used it on itune to restore or the quickpwn. i dont no if there is a format i have to install frist so i can used the 2.2.1

     what should i do?
