Well the truth is, that all the people having iphone 3G with firmware 2.2.1 using on non-contract sims are in deep sadness coz they have nothing more than an expensive ipod with camera. Every one is waiting for iphone 3g 2.2.1 unlock that could run any sim, like iphone 3g 2.2 yellowsn0w was working.
Any one who updated their iphone accidently are in sadness like me. There are few lil techniques that might make some 20% iphone 3g 2.2.1 work.
The truth is those methods work for iphone 3g 2.2.1 with bootloader 05.08. and 80% of all iphone 3G are bootloader 06.02. , so most of ppl with iphone 3G 2.2.1 can unlock their phones till QUICK PWN , DEV Team Yellowsn0w come up with any new idea.
Last time iphone 3G 2.2 firware unlock was released on new year eve 2009.
So all in all till now iphone 3G 2.2.1 can only be unlocked if you have bootloader 05.08 , so lets see how we can unlock step by step.
1) iPhone 3G must be jail broken(Mac)(Windows) to unlock it via cydia.
2) After jail break we can see cydia icon in iphone go in cydia and search “FuzzyBand” and you will see “3G FuzzyBand Downgrader” in list. click it and install it.
3) After install restart you iphone 3g and then run FuzzyBand. You will see the follwoing screen. REMEMBER you will only be able to downgrade you iphone to baseband 2.28 to unlock if your iphone has bootloader 05.08
4) If its not working for you, that means you have to sit and wait for the new unlock to be released. Or you can use rebel/ turbo sim which really sucks big time!

3iPhone 3G is best phone ever released. it has great styling and has nice cool features that is why i like it so much.

4iPhone 3G is simply the best phone that i have owned. It is very stylish and its nice features. I also own an N97 but i like the iphone.

5last year me and my brother bought an iPhone 3G. it is a great phone with lots of functionality and great styling too.

6my girlfriend and i bought an iPhone on her 23rd birthday , this is really a very cool phone but Nokia would be launching some new phones which are better than the current iPhone model
