Finally the unlock we all have been waiting for long is out and well known as ultrasn0w. I have been able to successfully jailbreak and unlock my iphone 3G for free and using my favorite network sim “STC“, Special thanks to DEV TEAM who made it possible.

We will activate, jailbreak and unlock iphone 3G by following  these steps and the video guide given below.

Step 1:
1st of all you need to update your iTunes to latest version 9 .

 

Step 2:
Backup your iPhone in iTunes so you don’t loose your iPhone contacts, photos, notes, messages, emails and calendar.

 

Step 3:
Update your iPhone to firmware 3.0 using iTunes and techbot ready to use firmware 3.0 file.

 

Step 4:
After your iPhone is updated via iTunes you need to activate your iPhone to access its home screen/ main menu. To Activate your iPhone you need to run redsn0w on your pc and keep iphone connected ,close iTunes and follow redsn0w instruction till it activate/ jailbreak your iPhone.

 

Step 5:
After your iPhone is activated/ jail broken you will be able to see you iPhone home screen / main menu, you will see cydia icon in iPhone menu, Run cydia update it and tap on manage then source then tap on edit and tap on add and type this address http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com , after adding tap on search and type “ultrasn0w” you will see “ultrasn0w unlock for iPhone 3g” tap on it and install it, then turn off your iPhone , put in your favorite sim and turn on your iPhone. You will see your network sim running make test call and enjoy.

NOTE:
* Before starting this whole process please remove your sim card.
* Don’t forget to backup your iPhone.
* Before installing ultrasn0w software turn off the 3G button in your iPhone in Settings>Network.
